If you're someone who craves a slower life...

Hey there! I’m Lisa, and I’m so glad you stopped by!

After living in London for ten years (and travelling around Europe!), I discovered something life-changing:

We don’t have to rush!

I used to be like so many of us—always living for the weekend! But through travelling (and working for a French company), I started to see how differently people in Europe live.

In France, meals are about connection. People linger, savoring the food, wine, and each other’s company. And in August? Most businesses shut down so everyone can recharge. Imagine having 30 paid vacation days a year!

Italy has riposo, a long afternoon break. Shops close, people enjoy leisurely meals, and they take time to truly relax. Italy is also home of the Slow Food movement which celebrates fresh, local ingredients.

Spain’s siesta still thrives in many places. Businesses pause in the afternoon, giving people time to rest before the evening.

In Germany, people work fewer hours but stay focused, leaving plenty of time for family and rest.

And then there’s Denmark. My Danish friend’s minimalist lifestyle is a constant inspiration—fewer things, less clutter, more peace. They even have a word for this: hygge (cozy, contented moments with loved ones.)

These cultures made me question our “always-on” lifestyle in the U.S. Why do we glorify being busy? What are we missing by rushing through life?

We can slow down, live more intentionally, and create space for the things that matter most.

Here are a few ways to start:

  • Savor Meals: Slow down and enjoy your food.
  • Prioritize Relationships: Make time for loved ones and meaningful conversations.
  • Rest More: Breaks aren’t indulgent—they’re necessary.
  • Simplify Your Space: Decluttering clears your home and your mind.
  • Get Outside: Walk, cycle, or just breathe in the fresh air. Nature is grounding.
  • Enjoy the Little Things: A warm cup of tea, a quiet stroll, or a good book can be so fulfilling.

Here you'll find journal prompts for our community, designed to spark reflection on mindfulness, gratitude, and finding joy in the everyday. I add new prompts every week!

On the blog, you’ll find tips and resources to help you slow down.

And our shop is filled with printable journal pages and other goodies.

This space is here to inspire and support you! So, let’s create a life filled with meaning, connection, and those magical, slow moments together.
